WHO'S THAT GIRL? (it's Lyss!)
Alyssa Peyton is a NYC based musical theatre director and performer from Houston, Texas. She has a BFA in Musical Theatre from the University of Tampa and recently took courses in theatre and comedy writing through Columbia University's Arts in the Summer program.
As a director and acting coach, Alyssa's philosophy centers around fostering an environment of inclusivity and collaboration. She is a fierce advocate for safe practices in every rehearsal room. Alyssa is passionate about working on shows that challenge traditional narratives, giving voice to diverse stories and perspectives, specifically the stories of women and girls.
Onstage, she is a versatile and sweet triple threat with genuine Texas charm. She's performed with various theaters in Houston and Tampa, as well as Dollywood's Smoky Mountain Christmas. Alyssa made her NYC cabaret debut in The 54ONY's at 54 Below, and looks forward to future projects!
When not making art, Alyssa loves going line dancing, online shopping, rewatching her favorite shows, making her friends (or herself) laugh, and FaceTiming her parents a little too often.
